Which ESC for 2650 in a buggy? - 08.14.2010, 03:51 AM

I have a buggy i will be running the 2650 motor in. I have been using an MMM in it, but this week, i bought an E Revo, and will be putting my existing 2200 and MMM in it.

I already have the 2650 motor... I know alot of guys are running the 2650 with the MMP in the 4x4 SCTs... I have quite a few 1/10 trucks and prefer to run sensored motors... So i am pondering whether to buy another MMM for the buggy or buy another MMP for use in the 1/8 buggy for now and possibly use it later in another of my trucks...

So, that is the question.. 1/8 buggy, 2650 motor... MMP or MMM..?

In principle the MMPro would be fine, but if you planned to use it in an MT later on possibly, I'd say go for the MMM instead..

LOL.. see.. its not a clear answer.. HAHA.. you are thinking exactly the same as me.. I was hoping for Patrick or something to pop in and say something like.. the MMP is too small for the buggy or.. something of that sort.. something concrete..

The MMP is too small for the buggy.

But serieus for just a sec: if you want to run sensored motors go with the MMP. It's can handle the 1/8 buggy and your 1/10 trucks just fine, plus it's cheaper than the MMM. Only downside is that you can't (or atleast it's not really recommended) to run it in 1/8 trucks.

My bet would be on the MMP because you want to drive sensored.

i say go MMP...i like mine alot more than my MMM's.they seem, more durable and imo they're smoother and seem to handle all my packs fine.

i use my mmp in my slash, 8ight buggy and in my Sportwerks truggy and it handles them fine. the fan has only come on a few times.

remember, the new savage will use the mmp...and the SCRC8E so, it'll even handle some of the MT's and heavier buggies on 4S.
