I'm not sure what you're getting at with that statement, but all of Mike's mounts are like that.

The only other full chassis conversion doesnt use the center diff motor mount.Thats why all my conversion motor mounts have allways been RCM.The 1st was a Losi 8T the second was a CRT.5 third was the CEN FRE Matrix the forth is a E-Slayer the fifth is a SC8.Mike makes some of the best parts available.

True. I didn't think about it in that context.

Absolutely! I've had about 5 different motor mounts from Mike and been happy every time.

mine should be here monday. i have the carbon chassis with mechanical brakes but i cant wait to try the RCM conversion. sounds like you all have been very impressed with his kits. so far, i have only used Tekno kits for all my 1/8 conversion. they have been great but i will post some pics when i finish this one.

oh i thought you already had it... i torture tested the prototype chassis last weekend at the skatepark..... couldnt leave well enough alone i broke my slash, then broke the front end of my xray all to hell, so the the rc8t had to pick up the slack and continue on with the show, im happy to say it held up to some SERIOUS air time. and i finally cleared the gap from the big bank ramp to the highway. (65 feet long gap from concrete 6 foot tall bank ramp to asphalt!) then proceeded to do it 6 more times, jumped about 20 feet high out of the deep end of the bowl i know it went atleast 17 because it went above the lights and i helped put them up and they are 16 feet off the deck of the ramp..... its tough, the body broke in half from it being so cold and jumping so big, and i got a rear shock thats leaking out the bottom seals now.

dude,
you have got to get some video of that next time! i remember 3 months ago when i first got my Rustler VXL and was looking for somewhere to go jump but knew of no tracks so i went to the skatepark. now mind you, Rustlers are nowhere near as strong as 1/8 buggy/truggy kits. so by the time i left the thing was virtually in pieces. it was great though! if i broke something i would just keep jumping until it absolutely died. shit was dragging and hanging off the truck but it kept on pushing for a while.

so as far as the RCM RC8T chassis you are saying its as tough as nails, right? am i reading that right? thats what you were jumping 20ft in the air?

yep i doubt mike would support doing it, but yes the rc8t with his chassis was the only one to make it home in one piece (except for the body).

ive got lots of video im complying all my bashing for alittle while then ill put a video on youtube of my kind of bashing, like the stuff at the skate park and doing laps with them on my mx track and fmx ramp even bigger than whats already on youtube. (just search rootar on youtube to see my videos)

check out my review thread in the open forum, i made an aluminum version of traxxas' erevo mount and mounted it behind the battery tray, there was plenty of room then you route your wires under the battery tray and its a super clean look.
