Kevlar vs. Carbon Wrapped Rotors

I was wondering what you guys would choose if you were to receive a motor with one of those two options and tell me why you'd want that one option over the other. (Pro's and Con's) Im trying to figure out what would be a better bet when wrapping a rotor and why?

I would think using either of those materials would give you the same results . Both are extremly strong .

Kevlar = bullet proof vests , tow straps
CF = cars , planes , bikes , brake rotors,

I was thinking kevlar because of the vest thing and its cheaper for what Im going to use it for.

I think if it can stop a bullet . It can keep a rotor together .

I had a thought the other day...might as well ask here- Any chance of using dental floss as a rotor wrap?

Hmm... I dont think it would hold up but its worth a shot.

What kind of motor would give you a choice on this? Sounds like a nice one.

I wonder if there is a way to wash all the wax and minty-ness off of it to end up with the bare nylon line. I'm only considering this because it's cheap!

Oh sure. I ran out of Neodymium a few days ago so it will be out of action for awhile until I get a new shipment.

Of course, I get the neodymium from china. I then melt it and cast it into the right shape. After that, I just take it out of my foundry and magnetize it with my magnetizing machine. Then the sintering machine comes into play.

In other news, I did a search for "sintering machine" because I became curious. I ended up finding these people http://www.lasersintering.com/. Looks like a promising enterprise. I can see myself giving them some business in the future.
