RadioShack GP3300 batteries?? - 12.14.2005, 08:19 PM

I did a search, but didn't see anything about this. Has anyone seen this at their local RadioShack? http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...entPage=search

The packs on that page have red casings, but at the store, they are the normal orange top style. I'm sure they are unmatched, and they only have 16GA wires on them, but was wondering if they would be worth getting and then tearing apart, rewiring with bus bars and 12GA noodle wire?

Speaking of batteries, are these decent batteries? I know they are unmatched, but they are even cheaper than the RS packs.

Many of us have seen those GP3300s from Radioshack. Since they are GP3300s, they must be quality cells (unless Radioshack charges so little because they are the lower end cells). Some battery bars and 12ga. wire would make them work much better.
The 2nd link you posted shows cells that would more expensive. For those, it would be $30.

I sort of thought so, but RadioShack is not typically known for carrying the best quality product at the cheapest prices.

Lol! When I first read it, I thought it meant you get three "Trinity EVO GP3300 loose cells" for $5.00. Now I noticed the sticker says "EVO 3". That's why I was asking if they were good; 3 cells for $5 seemed too good to be true! :)

Yes, of course that is the correct reply! :) However, $24 for 6 GP3300 cells is really hard to pass up. Believe me, he'll be getting my business when I get my BL motor, controller, and assorted parts. So far, I've only purchased E-Maxx idler gears. I was looking at radios though and noticed he doesn't have much of a selection, which is too bad as I have had my eye on a Spektrum DX-3 (hint hint Mike).

I might just do that then. I just assumed the products were limited to what was on the website.

Any part you want (and don't see on the site), just email mike@rc-monster.com and ask him if he can get it.
One of the goals is to make RC-Monster.com a one-stop shop, so he's always willing to pick up whatever parts he can to make a customer's order complete.
