do Panther Switch 2.0 38 series fit proline LPR wheels? - 01.13.2009, 11:33 PM

amain says that the Panther 2.0 switch tires fit 38 series wheels like the proline LPR. i thought 38 series was the revo 3.8" wheel and LPRs are 3.7". has anyone tried the panther tires on a set of proline LPRs and do they fit snug? i hate trying to glue a tire that doesnt fit tight around the wheel. they just never end up balanced right.

Well since you started a tire thread I have been wanting to ask this question. What other tires besides the 40 series fit on the Porline 40 series wheels. I now have several sets of the Axial beadlock wheels, which take the 40 series tires, but I would like to try other tires if I can. The proline choices are somewhat limited in variety. Anyone???

losi "420" tires are 40 size, they make a cool paddle tire, there wheels are oddball 20mm hex (hence the 420). I don't know any others.

Thanks. - 01.14.2009, 02:44 AM

Thanks for that input Harold. I will have to check them out for my next set of wheels. I already have two sets together with the roadrage tires, and a set with the mulchers mounted on the Axial beadlocks. I am switching all of my trucks to them now. I just want some variety in teh wheel selection when I want to go out and play. If anyone knows of any other tires that fit the 40series wheels please chime in. Thanks guys.

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXPEU3&P=7 those are my favorite 40 size tires, the race compund ones are so sticky they handle better than my phaltlines or anything. I gorilla taped them twice around and they can handle a 1 on 6s without balooning too bad or popping off the rim like most of my other tires did

Yea I was kind of wondering wheather or not those were any good. I had not seen read or heard anything at all on them before. The only reason I had not gotten them before was because they look kind of cheesey/cheap in that photo. If you say they are good, then I will have to try a set. Thank you for your opinion.
