I was overheated my motor and my mamba max esc today both over 200f + and now when I try it it seem to cogging alot when I push on the gas throttle and when I run it for maybe only 5 sec the esc get hot very very fast for nothing ... but not the motor or the batteries ...
If the motor got that hot, then the magnets inside it probably lost their strength. When this happens, the motor basically becomes a short circuit. The MM got hot because it was sending power into this short circuit. I don't know if CC will cover damage due to over-heating. Try running another similar motor in the vehicle (if you have another motor...) and see if the MM still operates correctly. If it does, then I would just bite the bullet and pick up a new motor.
You probably demagged your motor. What's your setup?

It seems like a stable setup. Not over geared, and no off-the-wall motor RPM. Though, I am not the "truggy master" on this forum. Do you race with this truck? How's the drive train as far as binding? The motor was somehow overloaded and that made everything heat up. Any rocks in the spur?

no I dont really know why is heating up I buyed it from someone who have used it only 2 times.. runned it on 12 cells and still heating alot but not like today when I was received my 4s lipo it have going over 200f +
If it was heating up with the NiMH and then turn to worse with the lipos, I guess the motor was already shot before you even used it.

You also stated that you use it in your yard. Might be hard to beleive but grass put a huge amount of stress on the electronics. Also the RPM's are a touch on the high side for a truggy, IMO you should have about 2000kv on 4s. My suggestion is to def bite the bullet on the motor. Spend a little more and buy a Medusa or the CC/neu from Mike $140 or less depending on what you choose. The MM should still be fine but don't keep trying to use it with that motor!
Sorry, never know these days, week and a half ago all the snow here was almost gone, a week ago we got a foot, now it's just about gone again. Snow can impose a lot of load too though, esspecially if it is slushy and sticks to the tires and chassis. Either way my bet is your motor is toast and you should upgrade to a quality motor now.
