My 3905 E-Maxx - Thanks TexasSP!!! - 02.17.2009, 01:01 AM

I bought TexasSP's old E-Maxx yesterday and took delivery of a MMM from another friend at the same time. Thank you so much for hooking me up with a nice truck TexasSP!

I transferred the wheels, FullForceRC sway bars, lipos, 7XL and wheelie bar from my old 3906. I am waiting on a set of slipper pads and a couple of 5mm pinions to come in and I'll be in business. I will have a 65T spur and a 14T pinion to start off with and adjust accordingly. The lipo set up consists of two 2S Hyperion 5350mAH packs in series. The Spektrum receiver is in the stock radio box along with a short Y-harness to hook up both steering servos to Channel 1.

I love all the space on this chassis compared to my old 3906 which makes for a clean layout. Once the 7XL breaths its last, a Medusa 36-70-2000 will go in its place.

That's a nice looking truck ya got there! Can I drive it?

I like how you did the Battery Connectors. That's gotta make for an ultra low resistence setup.

Good job!

How does that 7xl run?

Thanks Sikeston! You can drive it if you wanna stop by, just replace any parts you might break The 7XL did OK in my 3906, with temps in the 150s. Not sure how it will do in the 3905, but I'll find that out as soon as I get the slipper pads. I have a few spur gears and 14T and 16T pinions to play with.

I like those connectors a lot, to the extent that I use them in all my RC cars, and their efficiency/low resistance comes in handy in drag racing. They are the 6mm variety and Neu sells 10 pairs for about $20. Not too bad IMO. And the neatness factor is also a big bonus.
