I have my eye on a Neu 1107/6D or 1107/2Y for a couple of applications.
I want to have one of those motors in either my crt.5 or my TC4. Both cars currently have an R1 Pro sitting in them.
So.....i've been trying to read up on the 1107 motors, and the most that I've gotten is that they won't fit on a standard 540 mounting system. I'm sure that the 1107's will be tons better than the 5700MM I'm running in the TC4 and the VXL motor in the .5 (previously had a 5700MM in it until a friend decided that the shaft needed breaking).
I've been running the 5700MM in the TC4 for awhile, switched it out for a Tekin 448 but then I burned it out. Guess that's what happens when you decide to run a 5S in a touring car. Switched back to the 5700, but truth be told, I'm starting to get the itch for more speed and power and I'm starting to tire of the 5700. I don't want to go with the 6900 or 7700...i prefer to keep my battery options more open.
Ennyhoo...anyone have any motor suggestions (aside from Feigao)? Or can anyone tell me about the 1107 and where to get an adapter so that it can mount up to the standard 540 motor mounts?
Your help would be great appreciated.
If worse comes to worst, I'll just pull the 1515/1.5D from the X-1 CRT and mod the chassis of the TC4 to make the buggah fit. I don't really want to have to do that, tho. I have a feeling that the TC4 diffs won't really be liking me too much.
