Capacitor & motor ? - 04.15.2009, 12:03 AM

I got my new integy 45t lathe motors today . These dont come with the 3 little capcitors we use to use in the old days when racing pan cars. Are you guys still using them or not ?. .http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXLYV3&P=7

I don't think many people here will be using the capacitors, because I don't think many people will be using brushed motors, but as far as I know the capacitors are only there to reduce radio interference. So if you are using the motor in a lathe you won't need them, but if it's in a crawler or something then you'll probably need the capacitors. You might not need them with 2.4ghz, but I'm not really sure, someone else might know about that.

They're really only needed if you run an AM radio. The FM and DSM radios aren't bothered by that interference, if it is present at all.
