My flm - 03.22.2009, 09:12 PM

Neu 1521/1y/s
Flm Tranny forward chassis
Flm Hybrid bulks
Maximizer diff cups
Savage XL outdrives and axles
Alum. trans case
hardened trans outdrives
Cen 7.7 rims and tires

Just waiting on the RX8 reviews to start, and then I will make my decision on whether or not I get it or the MMM.

Pics don't show the color of the body right. It is spazstiks blood red with fasglitter red. Very sparkly.

My gearing I'm starting with is 14/52. Is this a good starting point on 6S?

Thanx alot.

Mike

That is an awesome looking savage. And your gearing should be fine if you are still running the 2 speed as long as your batteries will fit.

Nice Savage mate. Body looks awesome too.

A question, you say you are going to run 6S. How do you plan to mount the lipos? On the sides flux-style?
I can't get more than 4S inside the FLM chassis without the batts touching the motor.

My plan was to run a 6s brick. Flightpower makes a 25c 3200 mah 6s that would fit, my only concern would be the amp draw. I would consider flux style also. What would be better performance wise?

Thanx for all the kind words everyone.

If you stand the lipo on its side you can fit plenty more than 4s. I can fit 10s worth of the 3200 fp cells in mine...

I guess it depends on cell width and gearing. Std 45mm wide cells (most available cells are about that width) still leave enough room to get most gearing options in there, if you use the 52t spur.

Linc the fp 3200 is only a 25c. Do you think I will exceed the amp draw of this battery? I have enough room for this battery no problem, and could run the 5000 with spacers under the motor mount, but did not like how it looked. I do have the 52t spur and the 2 speed is still intact until I blow the living hell out of it!
