Hi all, I am building a all aluminum (FLM) E-MAXX and the rear end is running backwards. Can I do anything to correct it without tearing it back down. I have the stock motors on it. Thanks for any advice. :D

The only way to reverse it the way you want is to flip the differential.

Flip??? The FLM's are not interchangeable if that's what you mean. :P:

i would assume you have the bulkless if its not interchangable. in that case install the gears in opposite that they are now.

Sounds like you put the diff ring gear together on the wrong side(they must be in opposite side front to rear). No way around it. You have to take apart the bulkless and turn the diff over(put ring gear on other side and re-shim it). The back is easier to swap(no steering to mess with when dis-assembling).

Thanks Mike, I was hoping for a way other than taking it apart but I guees sometimes you just have to do it the hard (right) lol way. I have not had to shim anything yet (knock on wood) but I did have a little trouble with the holes lining up where the hybrids connect to the chasiss. drimel fixed in a few minutes.

Hey, dooley, you made some mods on your chassis to just fit a bulkless system of the same brand?!!

I have the FLM hybrid bulks and the flm chassis and one of the screws dont line up, so i just have 3 instead of 4 lol. I had to shim the diffs a little, I was using the supermaxx 8 spider diffs, what ones do you have dooley?

Hi harlock, it sounds crazy don't it, but it's true. It is a good thing in a way because FLM parts seem to be "tight" and you want a good tight fit in some areas. The hybrids fit into slots that are on the bottom of the chasiss, and the slots were to narrow so I had to open them up a little. Very easy to do with sand paper or a file I have a drimel like tool set. And I had your problem to Basketti. I just opened up the hole in the chasiss NOT in the hybrid. But just using 3 screws will be fine. I am just a perfectionist. I will take pictures if you need to see what I am talking about.

On my one its up the front on the top(one of the screws that goes through the chassis and into the hybrid bulk) if i am standing facing the truck (front to front) it is the bottom left.

Alright. I will relay the message on the chassis.
The hybrid bulks work perfectly fine, actually. The screw holes line up fine and everything fits. The tolerances are tight, though. I have struggled with the "locating" pins once or twice, but they always go in when the alignment is perfect(that is their purpose).
The next Hybrid bulkhead update will capture the front hingepins, though(the rear is already captured on both sides, but the rear of the front hingepins is not currently captured).

Hey my chasiss hole that was off is the same hole as basketti's. The slots on the under side of the chasiss that the hybrids fit into were a little to tight so that area probably heeds some tweeking. :D

Oh yeah i had to do some drilling on the holes on the front skid so that they all lined up
