I got my first full run in today. It was about 45 degrees out today and I did some jumping and hard running. Temps were about 122 on the motor 103 on the esc and 135 on the batt. Do those seem about normal for hard running? My gearing is at 14/48 and I am using the stock tires.

I have an illuzion body I am going too paint and run.

135 for the battery isnt right but other than that it looks good.

the 4500 cells like to run hot... my 6s fp pack and pair of 3s polyquest packs all have those cells and they come out of the lst around 130. no puffing, or loss of power at all. in fact they do not like to perform when cold. i have read that the jet guys that use them will warm them upt to 85f or so before flight. seems like the 30 enerland lipos run hot, freaked me out the first time, but when it cooled it took back the right mah and never got puffy or squishy at all. i can only imagine the actualy temp of the center cells though...

Truggy looks good

What diff oil are you using in the center? Also what timing have you got the MMM set to? I would like those temps but I am getting the opposite, hot motor and ESC but cool Lipos. Be interesting to see if there is a certain factor in how these Losi can get to a common good temp

Thought I'd add another question on here.........

What do you use for lube in the drive cups? I have been using "dry lube" but on our dusty track it still gets in and sticks to the cup and bone. Your cup and a few others that have posted still look clean and pretty oil/grease free, are you using anything at all or do you run them dry?

lower your motor timing down to "0" I did make a difference for me

In the beginning (of the 8Ts life) those rear diffs are too tight, bit of binding (seen many comment on it on other forums)...seem shimmed wrong but arent. Just have to drive the bitch really hard for a few runs and they loosen up and seat nicely. Could add something to the temps ?

Thanks guys. Um yeah my motor timing I believe is default which is 10 I think. Also I havnt added anything too the drive cups. Thanks lincpimp for the info on the batts I was a bit worried but I let them cool the balanced and charged them and they took a full charge so. If I do a buggy I would like too use another one of these batteries. Can you get anymore for the same price? I'm also thinking of a 5s pack for the truggy.
