8ight-t 2.0 mechanical brakes

Has anyone tried to mount mechanical brakes on a new Truggy? I was wondering if I could retro fit these onto my truggys chassis and use a mechanical brake setup.. http://www.impaktrc.com/images/tkr40...le_guide_s.jpg Counter the screws on the bottom and maybe mill the chassis slightly to have an indent for the servos. if that is even necessary.. What do you guys think?
