Actually, the 4833 has lower resistance than the 4108, but it has several other disadvantages that make the 4108 superior in some applications (like the Mamba Monster.) (I could go into details, but do you really want to hear about maximum current slew rates, turn on induction, and maximum drain dV/dT?)

And Castle is now using the NTMFS4901 for new production (as of about two months ago.) The 4901 is being manufactured exclusively for Castle. The 4901 is a FET that has been tweaked specifically for our application.

Thanx!

Will the end user see any changes in performance between Monsters with the older FET's and the newer units?

The newer Monsters will handle a bit more power, and run a bit cooler than the older units.

So, no more 4933's? I thought those were the best of the 4108's and 4833's?

Now, you are going to have to post a datasheet of those 4901's.

I guess I need to open my Monster up and see which one it has in there... If not, time for some new stock!

I still have a V1 Mamba Monster that I haven't used yet. Can I send it in to get it replaced with a Mamba Monster with the new FETs?

You will get a working ESC back but it could be a reconditioned unit from another vintage - I had this happen...

This news about new fets got me butterfly's in my stomach. How do I know what batch at my LHS would have the lastest fets?
