SMC 9028 E-revo Lipos - 04.28.2009, 10:55 PM

Got these new SMC 9000mah 28c lipos today. Thought I'd share, as they pack some serious punch. They were made to be the biggest baddest thing to fit an E-revo, and they seem to be, that 10ga wire barely fits.. They pulled 51 mph ,E-revo MMM combo, geared 24/62 , 3mph faster then my 4s 7800 25c Neu's. I might want to gear down a little. Came out after 30 minutes of bashing at just 75* I'm hoping for some long runtime just bashing around. They fit perfect. Anybody need a battery :) JK only 2 pairs are mine, the others are for buddies.

8 PACKS!? Holy jeez.
Oh, only two packs, okay.

6 packs?
Dang, that must've cost over a grand there? Unless you had some major discount.

Do you think these can really do ~250 amps? If so these would be the perfect lipos for Baja conversions, plenty of amps and runtime with a good price.

All I ever wanted was an honest weeks pay for an honest days work.

4 packs are mine. If I've learned anything about MT's it's, feed them all the battery you can, and they'll be thankful. I have to believe that these are accurately rated. I've had some 5200 24c for quite awhile and they have always performed as they should.

The way the wires exit the pack don't let them fit in all the way. They could fit if you chose to dremel out a little chassis, as the length and width will fit.

They will just fit in a rustler battery bay, if you have the rear wall removed, and a spot for the wires.

Do you have anymore updates on your experience with these? I'm wondering just how much hard runtime they are giving you.

Is this with your MMM/Medusa 36-60-2000kv setup?

Thanks for sharing

Was this a special thing for testing? i don't see these packs on SMC's site

Work because i gotta, play because i wanna

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

I'm now running a CC 2200. I have not made it through a full set of packs yet. But in 30 minutes of hard bashing with my buddies, so we were racing around alot, they took roughly 6000 mah. I went out and ran as hard as I could, basically wot around a parking lot, and killed 4500 mah in 15 minutes. So far I have yet to see these batteries hit 85*
They are available here. http://www.spcracing.com/index.php?productID=86
