Hyperion Duo charger - 05.29.2009, 03:57 PM

Hey guys!

I was wondering whether the Hyperion Duo can charge two packs at a time or not.

If I have two 3s 3700mah lipos and I want to charge both at once, will that charger enable me to do it?

I need to confirm this befor purchase.

Cordially,

Alawi :)

Yes sir. Thats what the Duo was designed for, 180watt max output on both sides, Just make sure that you get a big enough powersupply if you plan to charge high capacity high voltage packs.

Will a 25v, 25amp power supply be enough?

Also, if you have this thing, how much do you like it?

Thanks, Nitro!

lol, I should hope so! 25v @ 25A is 625w. Even figuring a little wiggle-room for supply longevity (15%) and charger efficiency (~80%), that still leaves you with 425W. That's enough to charge a 6s lipo at almost 17A! But the charger can't do that. You'd have to get close to maxing that charger out (250w per channel IIRC) to overload that PS.
