Mods required for hybrid diff v3 in G3R - 08.27.2009, 01:16 PM

The V3 diff itself indeed a nice work. However it requires some mods to fit in my G3R. I am still working on it.
1.Carbon rear plate filling- the bar right above the diff interferes with the case of the diff.
2.center rear shaft replacement- it may be the original problem of G3R; the shaft is too long. The savage central dogbone helps. Another alternative is to use the v3 al coupler form Mike.
3. stock right and left sliding shafts trimming- they interfere with the case of the diff. Trimming of the plastic couplers is necessary.
4. diff shimming- to reduce the tightness of the pinion and ring gears. It is an uneven tightness.

Some of the problems have been posted in the thread:

I hope the information is helpful for the people who want to use the v3 diffs in their G3R.
