Losi 8ight t 2.0 Brushless help

I bought a Losi 8ight t 2.0 to convert to brushless for a new 1/8th scale track that has been built near me.
I have had a good read on the forum & I must say it has been fantastic help - Great site :
The combo I have narrowed it down to, is the Mamba monster or the Tekin rx8.
Would I be right in saying that for longer runtimes I would be better with a low Kv motor & run 6s lipos?
Im really not sure what I should buy so was hoping I could get some advice on a good combo to use.
I read that the tekin motors had some problems but have now been sorted.

No need for 6s especially if you will be racing"added weight".I use 5s w/1700tekin, and MMM in my 2.0.

What mah 5s do you use?

As many as possible.5000mah higher the c rating the better.

Does the added mah add alot of weight to the battery?
Do you think a 5s 5200mah rated at 30c would get me roughly 20 mins?

this summer's points leader at my track runs the 2200 on 4S. i ran the 2650 on 3S and sometimes 4S. 5000mah was always just enough for me. i would probably opt for a 5200 or a 5400 looking back now.

Ok, after reading around this is what I have found...

If I use a 1700kv setup
5s 5800mah weight 776g
5s 5000mah weight 704g
If I use a 1900-2200kv setup
4's 5800mah weight 568g

Now the weight difference of 208g from the 4's 5800 to the 5's 5800 seems alot to me.
If my setup is geared for 38-40mph on any of the combos which would give me the longest runtime?

the run time would almost solely depend on the quality of the batteries. the higher the mah, the more runtime you'll have. the only difference in the setups from that point will be heat effeciency. the lower kv motors will be able to be geared higher and will run cooler.

the reason why i go with the higher kv motors is i've never been able to really get my motors hot. even in races, they almost never see above 160.

then no setup would run longer than the other if both used the same packs. it's just a matter of effeciency of heat at that point

5s 5800 will have more run time than a 4s 5800 with correct motors and gearing.

i run 5s 5000 with 1550 tekin motor. about a 15 tooth pinion ( i think)

Do you think 776g would be too much weight?
I've used the Losi conversioin kit.

deepends.... on many things. if your running 10 minute races with other electric truggys then u dont need a heavy battery. if your trying to run 30 minute races then a 5800 wont make it so u need 2 smal;ler ones to go 15 minutes each, a 20 minute race is tricky. 5800 might just make 20 so youll need it no matter what it weighs.guess i need more info on what your doing lol.

I will be running against nitro's (Buggies & Truggies).
When i say "too heavy" I mean would it unbalance the truggy over jumps etc...
I have been trying to find out what the limit of the battery weight is with the Losi conversion kit.
I'm not 100% sure how long the races are but I think 15 minutes would be about right. I just want to make sure I can make the 15 minutes without running out of mah lol.
I have decided on the Tekin system but I really dont know what combo would be best for me...

i have a 5s 5000 with the 1550 tekin and im happy with it since last summer and no problems.i have the same ttop speed as the nitros and never overheat. jumps are all normal. no issues.
