Ofna hyper mini st-e - 07.23.2009, 09:49 PM

Hi, I'm looking into a ofna hyper mini st-e. I read an article that they used a mamba max with a 4600kv motor and 11.1 lipo. I have a mamba max with a 7700kv motor and was wondering about running 7.4 lipo cause i already have this stuff. According to the math it would put out a little more rpm but I'm not sure what any other differences there would be. Any ideas on this? Any help would be appreciated!! Thanks.

I run a 4500kv neu 1509 on 2s lipo. Plenty for this little truck. I doubt you will be able to gear the 7700 motor low enough to not burn it up. Not much reduction between the primary gearing and the diffs... Plus 4wd will push the motor pretty hard. And a 5mm shaft motor is preferred, for strength.
