i just got a (used) older e-maxx and during the first time running the motor spins at high rpm but the truch is barely moving could someone help me out with this promblem
stock? i would check the gearing, clutch, make sure all the drivelines have set screws in em, do all 4 wheels move without laod...with load? Can u get a video of what its doing? would help alot!
i will try to get one put on tomorrow but i did check all that and everything look fine to me and yes it is stock i took off the motor cover and when i spin the big gear with my hand the tires do spin but slower then they where at first
I would guess the problem to be the slipper. The pinions (smaller gears) attached to the motors spin the spur (large) gear. The spur gear is not coupled to the transmission drive shaft and should not be. There are two plates that press against the spur gear that is intended to provide an upper limit of torque that the motors can put out through the drive train. The amount of friction is controlled by a spring on the shaft that is secured by a lock nut. Tighten that nut a little bit and see if the problem persists.
sounds like a loose slipper clutch. do you know what that is? It's around the big main gear (spur gear) Tighten the locknut that holds the spur gear on. The spring behind the locknut adjusts pressure on the slipper clutch.
