Horror Stories! Share em! - 11.15.2010, 12:14 AM

Just thought it'd be pretty interesting.
I was thinking more along the lines of shipping horror stories, but others work too..

Mine.. Not exactly a horror story, but pretty funny imo.
I ordered some heatshrink tubing and Deans from HobbyCity..
Took the expected wait time, a good month...
Arrived in my mailbox, looks like it shipped in a nice box.
It arrived in pieces, box looked like it was "repaired" multiple times with scotch tape, then they just gave up and tied a string around it like a present.
Eventually that gave way, and they just shoved everything in a little plastic bag and taped the bag shut.

So let's hear it!

Here's a bunch of RC-related mishaps, blunders, etc., not necessarily all horror stories, but you might get a kick out of some: http://www.rc-monster.com/forum/showthread.php?t=23137

My top three:

1: Hitting a telephone box on the side of the road and bifurcating my Rusler's chassis.

2: Squeeee oooinkk *donkey* squeek ---- POOF! *magic smoke*

3: Re-formatting the wrong HDD because my friend was making me hurry so we could play COD....... Bye bye 120GB of media!

Bench testing the new Novak 6.5 unloaded...you only do that once!

Using bullet connectors in the dark...another once only experience

Letting a novice friend use my just rebuilt truggy, in long grass, after I'd carefully explained what he should do AND shouldn't do throttle wise. If only I'd concentrated on the "do's" & not expected him to cross reference with the "don'ts"
