1:8 Buggy with 2x3S Lipo Setup? - 08.29.2009, 05:38 AM

Hi.

I want to buy an 1:8 Buggy to convert it to brushless.

The Setup i want to use is the following:

2x 3S Lipo Zippy
Medusa 3660-1800
Mamba Monster Max V3

I still want to buy a brushless conversion with motor mount
and 2 battery trays like the Novak 5015.

Is the Ofna 9.5 Buggy a good choice to convert to brushless?
Or should i order an other buggy to convert it?
Are the diffs, cups and bones durable?

I hope you can help me, because the setup is already here (i don't want to buy new Lipos, because i have already a lot of 3S Lipos), but i need an 1:8 buggy to convert it.

Thank you for your help and sorry for my bad english.

Greetings,
Firebird.

Hi.

I'am thinking about these cars:

- Ofna Violator
- Ofna Ravenger
- Ofna MBX
- Ofna LX1

Is there someone, who has tested one of these buggys in a brushless conversion?

Greetings,
Firebird.

Depending on the size of the Lipos, you may/should be able to get both in one tray. Twin tray cars end to be bulky and unbalanced (though it depends on the weight and position of the batteries used).

This has made a lot of people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move.

The balance of the car is not my problem.
6S on one side will be a problem for me.

Is there anybody who can say something
about the ofna buggys? Are these buggys
good to convert with brushless?

Out of the lot I'd pick the LX-1, it's the most 'international' buggy of the lot. The others are only really sold in America, whilst the LX-1 is sold all over the world.
