4s setup for an 1/8 truggy ? - 11.06.2009, 01:52 PM

Is it possible to run an 1/8 truggy on 4s and still have a efficient setup and good runtimes ? A truggy used for racing !

Sure, run the MMM 2200 combo on 4s an have fun. Or a Tekin RX8/T8 2250 or T8 2000.

i have a converted mbx5t running a mmm combo on a turnigy 4s 5000mah 30c lipo and it runs well.using rcmonster 14t pinions the esc and motor run cool(and fast).get 15 minutes easy out of a battery cycle.

mate of mine built an RC8T with MMM 2200 package.
runs 4s zippy flightmax 30c packs, runs cool gearing is also 14t/stock spur i THINK.

goes great.
all the rest of us MEN at the club run 6s though

Hm .. so if i whant to run a more manly setup i chould use 6s packs then lol ! Which 6s pack's are the best ? i don't whant a heavy setup !!

If you go with 6s you'll be much better off with a lower KV motor than the Castle 2200


I retired from RC, now life is all about guns and long range shooting.
