This is a barramundi, usually a couple of kilo's, 20kg or 30kg for a good catch
This one came in at 113kg

Where was that fish caught?
The normal sized ones have a similar look to Redfish. I wonder if the tastes are close... He better have a big ole grill for that one!

Great photos but I doubt that's a Barra...if the photo's real, it's a different breed of fish

It may be a real photo but it doesn't have the second 8 spine dorsal fin

Kinda hard to tell, it's covered in both photos. If it isn't a barramundi it's very close.

I got the pics in an email so I caanot confirm or deny anything. The info that came with it said it was caught in the Fitzroy river, North Western Australia. I think they were meant to release it but............ came up with the excuse that it was attacked by a croc when it was boatside but as you can see it looks pretty clean (must've been a freshwater croc that swam off to hide  )

that's a big barra.
never heard of them lurking around the western region before, lot of the smaller ones are down near Adelaide area.
and i doubt a croc got that one, a salt croc would have made a real mess of that one
