Tekin RS & HotWire mistake?? Hope not! - 01.22.2010, 08:20 AM

Hope I haven't made a huge mistake ordering the Tekin RS & HotWire I haven't even received it yet (BO) and it has already been a huge PITA! Thought I would get a head start and go ahead and download the HotWire software ahead of time. Easier said than done, I had to register 3 times before Tekin sent the email with the zip file and then install and uninstall the program 3 times before it installed properly and as I still don't have the Hotwire I'm not sure it did install correctly. Hope it's worth all the trouble. I wish it was more like my Castle Link a few clicks and it was up and running. Oh well we shall see

Don't worry it will work fine when you get it. That is the hottest ESC on the market right now. I have one in my 1/12 & it is the one to have right now.

I think it may be do to my OS (64bit Vista) Randy said they just this month got the program running on 64bit so there could just be a few bugs left there. I bought this to run in my Gen XL. I looked at the Black Diamond but the cost ran me off.

You'll be fine. Not having the hotwire is going to make it harder to verify the install. So far everyone that has used it on 64 bit has been succesful.

Thanks, I was a little concerned that I had trouble loading the software on my pc. I will load it next on my old laptop with XP maybe it will be smoother. Now if only Tekin would ship the esc and hotwire.

Well as it turns out I won't be needing the program after all! I got sick of waiting for the order on my RS and Hotwire to be filled so I canceled it. I'm also selling my 1/12th and every thing with it. I've never been crazy about on road anyway and I just saw where Monster Mike has a new conversion kit for my D8 and that will only cost me about half of what I was going to spend on the RS and the Notsohotwire So now I can stick with my old trust worthy MMM
