There are no changes to the base product - we have simply added more options for increased value and application-specific benefits. The original product uses hard anodized 7075 aluminum endcaps and a 46t mod1 spur gear - these are still available of course. We now also offer hardened steel endcaps for those applications with high side load(Losi front, for example) - the aluminum caps can work fine in these applications as well and are lighter, but the steel caps basically make it more "foolproof" and less susceptiible to accelerated wear. Likewise, the cnc spur gears are higher quality steel and offered in different sizes and tooth profiles. We will continue to develop the product with more options as time moves forward as well. We will be adding additional spur options as time goes on, including more mod.8 options and Delrin options for lower slip applications. :)

Nice to see you again, Al! I have been considering a smaller version, but there are some challenges to shrinking this design while still allowing relatively easy assembly(shorter design will require assembling into significant spring pressure on the slipper side). I likely will make a smaller version at some point, but will develop the existing unit for now, as it fits most existing cars on the market. :)
