Anyone have a Hyperion EOSO615i DUO3 charger ? - 03.30.2010, 05:26 PM

Maybe someone whom is really fimiliar with theirs can offer some easy to understand directions ?

I just bought a Hyperion EOSO615i DUO3 charger and I just can't get my head wrapped around these directions. I bought it used and all the settings in memory are from the previous owner and they are all over the place. He clearly didn't understand it either. (I got it super cheap !)
Is there a simple basic set of instructions for this dam thing ?
I just can't muster the patience for somthing I can't understand.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's broken, you should send it to me.

I take it you read this: http://media.hyperion.hk/dn/eos/EOS0...3-MAN-EN32.pdf

Other than that, sorry, I can help no further...

And you somehow managed to work in the auto body business...

Unless it is way off how the other hyperions work it is pretty easy, just press all of the buttons for about 5 minutes and eventually it will charge. If that is too difficult may I suggest this:

I have 1 and plan to buy a few more. Mainly cause I am converting all of my power tools to the emoli cells and they go out of balance really bad sometimes, having a 4 charger in 1 deal is just great, plug it in and walk away. No balancers to fool with, and as long as 2 amp charge is ok you are good to go. My 7s powered milwauke drill battery gets charged with this 25 dollar charger frequently, I just need another so I can charge all 7cells at once.

Thanks for putting me on the defense, again James

It's the long drawn out pages and pages of mind numbing directions that I have no patience for. Making repairs (sheet metal replacement and plastic filler work are my favorite to do) was fun and I enjoyed the feeling of acomplishment of a job done perfectly.
Reading these dam directions is like trying to understand another langauge. I have made some headway and was successful in charging a lipo last night, all these features this thing has are amazing and will definitely take some time to capitalize on and understand them all.

Navigation is a bit weird, I have a Duo2, but once you get acquainted it's a breeze. If you decide you hate it, I'll buy it!

Once you get used to a hyperion you are good to go. I have a pair of 610i and 1210i and the navigation is different for both, crap I say!

Sorry for late reply, You can what ever charger you want providing it's lipo applicable. I have a Venom charger I paid a hundred bucks for and it's a simple easy to use charger and it does the job perfectly. You can even find chargers half that price through Hobby City or you can spend easily up to 300.00 for one. Your budget will determin this, Bottom line get a charger that will balance each cell individually while charging.

FYI, I have ben using the Hyperion charger with great success now that I took the time to thoroughly read the instructions. This unit is the cats meow and works like gangbusters when charging 2 5000mah 5s packs using the "FeatherPower" 42amp power inverter.
