Losi 8ight 1.9 buggy/truggy general knowledge needed. - 03.21.2010, 09:59 AM

I bought some 8ights as a lot on ebay. One buggy and one truggy. Currently I have the 8ight buggy converted with the truggy center diff installed. Does this not make the buggy gearing a bit lower with the gearing on the center diff or is it the same? I remember it being lower....i dunno for sure.

Also If I were to buy some 2.0 diffs for these rigs off flea-bay would they all mount up okay or do some fit and others need mods or just internals converted?

Well the only thing you really did was increase your spur gear. Not sure why you ant to do this? Maybe less wear on the gears due to larger teeth counts or more surface area.

Buggies are setup with buggy diffs and a low to mid forty tooth pinion and 3.30 ratio diffs to account fr the 4.5" tires used.

Now if want to swap in buggy diffs in the truggy, you could really gear high and make a dangerously fast truggy.

If you are only referring to the center 1.0 buggy/truggy center diff. they both came w/48t center.Obviously there is optional gearing and this was purchased used.NITROSTARTER is also correct about putting the buggy f/r diff gearing in a truggy.not to mention that you would think that the buggy pinion would be alot more durable/stronger w/ those extra teeth.
