How to replace bearings on a Castle Neu ? - 04.10.2010, 08:07 AM

Hi, now that Castle has made the motor repairing kit available, I wonder whether exist somewhere a guide about how-to open the motor and replace the bearings.

Specifically, must I heat the motor can before removing the bearings ? Are the bearings simply inserted in the can or have I to use some glue (locktite ?)

Any help on that ?

Bye, Andrea.

I did this myself a while ago. Just remove the 4 screws holding the endbell/cap off and gently knock the bearing out with a socket and small hammer or with what ever you choose, careful not to damage the cap. And press new bearing in. Simple !

I retired from RC, now life is all about guns and long range shooting.
