Racing success and tragedy! -

Last night was my first race of the year, I had success in the SC class and tragedy in truggy! My SC10 had never been on the track with brushless power until last night. It was an rtr that I added RPM arms and bumper to, caliber SC tires and a MMpro with Nvak 13.5T. SC was by far the biggest class with 19 entries, just about everyone there had one to race. We where broken into 2 groups and each had two qualifiers, first one I was 3rd and second i was 1st, I qualified for first in the B main. I wound up winning the B main and bumped into the A main which I took 4th in. I would consider this pretty good for never racing SC against a bunch of guys that have been racing them on the indoor track all winter. Truggy class was a different story! Some how I adopted a point and shoot driving style with the truggy which isn't working for me, I qualified 6 out of 10 I think. I will never be a contender for the top spot in this class as we have some very good drivers at the track. At the start of the main my truck had no punch, I pulled it after one lap to find that the pin for the cvs end of the front center shaft had finally sheered off. However STUM had an incredible night in truggy and won the main with his converted 8T.
All in all it was a good night and I'm looking forward to the season!
Sounds a little like my story. There are 4 truggy guys that take it very seriously and travel places to race everywhere. They make me look silly at times...
