new buggy from xtm - 06.17.2010, 01:59 AM

Check out this new buggy from XTM called the Rail. It looks like a mini 5B but it's brushless....sweet. It's 1/8 scale so it uses the typical 3 diff setup. This looks like a very fun vehicle to drive.

Finally a 1/8th buggy that doesn't look identically to every other buggy out there.

I looked around online & they're saying it's going to go for $499 but I think it's going to be lower than that, XTMs are usually very affordable. I think this is great, finally a buggy that looks like a buggy, can't wait to see it in person....might have to get one

Looks like a stellar bashing buggy. Something along the line of what I am used to. Hard to tell from the pics but I wonder where the battery tray lies.

Looks like it can take a beating. Even with the HW system, if the price is right I am game. Looks like more fun than a slash 4x4 for a basher.

With an upgraded powerplant and radio, this thing would be insane.

I imagine that the paddle tires, will go very well with those seeking them for 8th scale applications as well.

In the recent Radio Control CAR ACTION mag they've done a real nice write up, looks interesting but yeah the weak point in my eyes is ESC and motor, 4s max ?

I retired from RC, now life is all about guns and long range shooting.
