Savage 2350 - 06.18.2010, 06:26 PM

WTF is this now from HPI....

MMP in a flux, I could see myself buying this-getting rid of the motor-getting a brand new Tekin T8 1350v truggy and 6s....

Can anyone shed some light on what brand the motor is?

Its being discussed in the Castle subforum, in the 'new stuff' thread. Im hoping Patrick or someone will shed some light on the motor too- it looks like a castle though, just smooth...

Don't think your 6S plan will work, supposedly the Q-base controller is only rated for 4S. Probably very similar to the MMP but lower spec components to cut costs? Guess I'll have to go take a look in the Castle section again.

i don't know the street price, but if i had to guess, i would say $550.

They say a good mechanic only needs 2 tools - WD40 & Duct tape. If it moves, and its not supposed to, duct tape. If it doesn't move, and its supposed to, WD40.

wow, not bad at all considering all they did was swap the motor and esc.

I don't think it will be lower spec components just down rated to deal with the heavier truck and 2650 motor. The MMP was really meant as a 10th scale ESC so I can't see the components be lower grade and going into an 8th scale truck.
