Hello all, i a have been reading on here for two months and finally just joined. There is a lot of good info on here. Very nice site Mike!

So I used to be into RC's when i was from 12-16 then got my first daily driver and then the RC's were no more. Got back into it once and awhile but not until two months ago have i really had the bug.

I went out and got an hyper 7.5 black ed. 7 weeks ago, 5 weeks ago went and got a blade msr heli, then two weeks ago i bought a hobbyzone super cub airplane. The heli is fun but not all i hoped it would be. The plane is extremely fun.

But i always love the cars, and i wanted into racing so i got the buggy. Thats been fun but with all the experiments my true love is always been bashing so im ready to buy a ERBE.

Welcome to RCM...

Do you want advice? If so, it seems like many of us have owned ERBE's and moved on to something stronger/easier to work on. What is popular around here are Losi LST2/XXL/Muggy brushless conversions. That's what I drive - my e-Muggy can do anything an ERBE can do (well, it's less prone to wheelie - a major plus in my book) and is stronger and easier to work on. Do a search and you'll find plenty of project threads discussing these trucks.

Like Brian05 said, the Revo's have their niche, and while a decent vehicle, there are better, much more reliable bashers available to you. Besides the already mentioned Losi's, the Savage Flux seems to have proven itself as one of the best out of the box bashers. Conversions are almost unlimited, expecially if you look at truggies (go that route if you prefer handling over raw power/jumps). The Muggy kinda stands inbetween the two, as does the Revo.

I agree with the above, skip the revo.

I have had the aforementioned revo and LST2 and hands down the LST2 is the better truck. It handles better, jumps better, is stronger, more stable, and much easier to work on.

Don't let a conversion intimidate you, they are pretty straight forward. Not too mention that everyone here will be glad to help you on your way.

Do use the search as that will yield many results and most of what you want you can find in the brushless forum here. Don't hesitate to ask questions.

all i want is speed and jumping! i just remembered the flux im gonna read into it some. i have no chargers or anything i would like to keep this under one grand for everything.
So i will looking what it cost for the muggy and to convert it.

Unfortunately, the Muggy is no longer being made, so you'll have to look for a used one (or you could build a roller from the ground up with new ebay parts - many LST2 parts are interchangeable - I did that for one of my builds). I bought a used muggy roller for under $100 - but you'd have to be patient for one to turn up.

Should be able to do that. Either look for a used one (I think there is a RTR one with charger and batteries on RC-Tech right now for about 8 or 9 hundred). Another option is to join up on Tower and use one of their discount codes for a new one. For staying under a grand, I'd get a Hyperion Duo charger, and go a little cheap on your first set of batteries (Turnigy's from Hobbycity).

I've seen a few good rollers come up recently.
The muggy conversion:
150 roller, 45 RCM mount, 40 RCM Battery tray, 300 for motor/esc, 100 for 2.4 radio (used Spektrum or I'm kinda liking the Traxxas trade in - 60 bucks plus your old TQ). Added up, your at the cost of a Flux.

Buying a new rc is always nice, but doesn't make financial sense. So if you are on a budget, go with a used vehicle and use the savings for a good charger, esc/motor. I never used to agree with the revo sentiments (never had a problem when big block nitro), but with brushless power on 6s I'm now finding the weak points in the drivetrain. The rear diff especially is not liking the cc1520 on 6s even with careful shimming.
