I have an E-Revo running 6s, MMM esc, and the castle 1518 1Y 1800kv motor. When I drove the setup for the first time, the brakes were waaay too touchy. Any brake input would cause the truck to flip forwards on the ground. I thought no big deal, I'll just adjust them on castle link. Well after experimenting with several brake settings, they are now set to 0%. Unfortunately, they are still plenty strong enough to cause the truck to flip with very very little brake input.
Make sure the throttle is set for 'forwards-brake-reverse w/lockout'. Kinda sounds like you have it in 'forwards-brake-reverse without delay' mode that sends it into reverse before its even come to a complete stop..
Something is def wrong! If brakes are set to 0 then you wouldn't stop at all, that's the setting people use when running mechanical brakes on a 1/8 conversion. Are you sure your adjusting the brake strength and not the drag brakes? Otherwise I would agree that reloading the firmware is your best option and second is the reverse lockout
when you give the truck throttle to move foreward does the green light on the esc flash? If the red one flashes reverse your throttle trim and swap any 2 motor wires
Well, I figured the problem out. Quite silly of me actually. I had the brakes/reverse set on the crawler mode. This explains the harsh brakes, the truck would just go straight into reverse. I never realized that it was going into reverse because by the time I tried to brake, the truck was busy flipping end over end.
Thanks for the help!
