How Much Does Your Truggy Weigh?

I'm just curious to see what other people are getting their RTR truggies to weigh in at. Just say what you have and how much it weighs. Pics if you have any.

I'm running the RC8T with the Tekin RX8 system and the Associated battery tray/motor mount. I also have a C-tech 5s hardcase lipo and Proline LPR Crimefighters (pre-mounts).

My weight is exactly 10 lbs. I'll get some pics soon - just finished the build

4200g ( 9.26lbs) RTR

however at some tracks I use heavier batteries to get my weight to 4400g to get more traction :)

My X5T is about he same, 9.25lbs with everything but my batts are kinda heavy and I have two battery trays. I did save some weight with the lightened Tekno motor mount and using the Pro Spec stuff. Might be selling my rig to get a RC8T or MBX6T so I can stay competitive.

My RC8T with the RC-Monster chassis kit, Neu 1515 2.5D/f with 4500mah 5s, MMM esc Hitec 7955tg servo, proline holeshots on 1/2 ups comes in at exactly 10lbs also. This season I'm gonna drop down to 4s and run a cc/neu 2200, the mains where I race are no more than 12 minutes, my current setup would give me over 15. I also have a custom battery tray on the way though which will add a tiny bit of weight as it will have a tray off the back so I can use a traxxas hold down for my esc, didn't finish a few races last year cause my esc came loose.

Long and short, 10lbs seems to be about right for the RC8T. I have no aftermarket parts, it started life as a nitro factory team kit and was never run with anything but BL power.

My mbx-5T w/a 5000mah 5s and the 1520 ccneu weighs about 10.5lbs.

Just curious as to how many of you RC8T guys run Mike's chassis. Do you think it's better than a custom dual battery setup? By better, I mean faster on the track and more balanced. That's basically what I want, whichever will be faster and easier to drive.

Weighed my Rc-M xt8 tongiht at the post office and it came in at a RTR weight of 4,094g (or 9 pounds 0.4oz )

thats a 09 spec XT8 RTR with calibers, rcm custom tray, new rcm chassis kit, rcm slipperential, with 5s 4200 Hyeprion g3 xv series lipo, Tekin rx8, tekin 1700 truggy motor, airtronics 94361 servo, spectrum telemetry r/x, amd personal, and JC losi eight 2.0 punisher body.

i bet with the stock diff and plastic spur in the center she would be under 9 pounds....

I run Mike's chassis and love it! I don't think you could get a better balance with a two battery setup, your motor is gonna be towards one side or the other no matter what. Mike's chassis pushes the center diff over to the right so that the battery on one side offsets the motor on the other side. It drives and flies very well, the nitro guys at my track where very impressed with how it handled and how well I could manipulate the truck in the air.

That's sounds very good and all, but my Mugen does that right now with it's dual setup. The motor is heavy, but the battery weight is spread throughout the chassis. The servo and ESC on the other side of the chassis balance it out.

I know Mike's chassis setup puts the diff offset, has cutouts, and is super trick (I still want it) but I don't want to order his chassis just to hack it up with a dual battery setup. I was timid enough cutting on a used BCE chassis! I think I'll give the stock chassis with dual batteries setup a shot then go with Mike's chassis if I feel it isn't balanced correctly.

My MBX6T RTR is 4.036KG. My Losi 8T 2.0 is exactly .45KG more.....big difference.

BTW both run the same batts, with 2200KV motors and Caliber's on all 4 corners.
