Traxxas 2.4G Dead? - 11.08.2010, 06:25 PM

My TRX 2.4 TQ Radio went wacko. Its not the ESC MMP either. The steering servo just pulses. No throttle either just the red flashing lite on the ESC.I double checked to make sure it was binded to the receiver and it is.I also double checked the esc/MMP and swapped to a MMM and same thing. This is in a Slash 4x4.I also swapped radios no problems there also.I am stumped!!

Yea never changed any settings. It is the TRX link radio.I also tried a seperate power source like in a Nitro setup and still the steering and throttle just glitch.

Is it just the servo glitching?
How's the other channels, ie. ESC?
I know you addressed some stuff in the OP, but it's a bit confusing..

When the MMP is plugged into the channel 2 on the TRX receiver the MMP acts like there is no signal. And the steering servo just twitches.

Have you tried the MMM in place of the MMP, and has it done the same thing?
(Re-reading OP, looks like you have).
Are you sure it's the right channel for both?

Definitely not recommended, but I've *accidentally* plugged my servo into my motor slot, pulled the trigger, and it moves the servo perfectly.
Might be a shot you might want to take, same goes with motor in servo.

If you've tried the RX in different equipment, and it still twitches, does sound like a radio issue.

However... have you tried wiping the firmware of the ESC? As in restore it to factory defaults via CastleLink..

This happened to me once on my MM and Medusa, can't fondly remember the solution, but I do know I tried the CastleLink thing, it may/may not have fixed it..

worth a try!

1. MBX-6 T8 1900KV, RX8 ON 4S
2. MBX-5T 1520, MMM ON 5S
3. MBX-5 ONROAD CONVERSION 1515, MMM ON 5S
4. MRX-3 ON ROAD CONVERSION 1512, MMM ON 6S
