Someone posted this on the idiot forum, curious as to what the feature actually does/ changes when adjusted lower/higher ( max forward & reverse power )?

Wait for someone who KNOWS to chime in, but my understanding is that it works exactly the same as "end point adjustment" like a transmitter might have. I believe it's there for radio's that lack the feature.

If I could only draw what I see in my head, then afford to build it, and finaly get to play with it...

You are in effect limiting the ability of the controller to hit 100% throttle. It is the same as lowering the full throttle endpoint on your radio without recalibrating. It is highly recommended to use gearing to reduce your speed whenever possible. The ESC prefers to run at 100% throttle for full speed. Generally you will notice higher temps on the ESC and possibly the motor and lower run times by reducing the top speed of the vehicle through throttle limitation versus gearing. This setting is useful when you want to limit the speed when giving your vehicle to an experienced user or you're in the middle of a race situation and don't have time to change the gearing; but under normal circumstances, reduce the pinion or increase the spur gear before adjusting the Max Forward Throttle.

Yup, Traxxas forum.

Cheers Thomas, that clears up the question quite nicely.
