BackSlash motor suggestions - 03.09.2011, 07:28 PM

I got a 4x4 PE slash roller ,i'm going to make a backslash. I've got a Mamba Monster to use in but not sure on a motor size. (It's for bashing only)

Mike has the Neu 1515's on clearance here on RCM (in the store). A 1515/1.5y on a very light set of 6S lipo's would be rocking.

I'm currently running a 1515/2y on 8S with a Phoenix ice HV 80 in my hyper 10sc. It puts down a little over 1000watts geared fast enough to clear the "big double" at the local track, only pulls 36 amp spikes, runs 15minutes plus on 1300mah packs, and runs soo cool that when it's 60'f outside it actually gets colder as I run it :-)

If I could only draw what I see in my head, then afford to build it, and finaly get to play with it...

Hmm, I run my 4x4 pede with a 1512 size motor, 2000kv on 4s. The stock driveshafts will not hold up, and I doubt the tekno shafts will last very long with power like this. I would say a 1512 motor would be plenty. If the cc 1415 motor had a 5mm shaft I would go with it, the 1/8 shaft should be ok if you use the slipper setup.

Mamba monster is a bit overkill, but at least you could run a 1200kv motor and 6s. Lower mah packs, like a 3000mah or less 40c would keep the weight down. This and the 4x4 pede platform are best left lightweight. Get them heavy and the stock suspension is going to need work.

Yeah, the sc pro system would be killer. I am using the sidewinder 1410 motor sc system in my 2wd pede and it is very powerful, I can only imagine what the pro 1415 system will do!

And the tekno cvds are mandatory. I did not get 15mins out of my pede 4x4 before the driveshafts took a dump.
