haha....my room-mate thinks I'M a monster - 04.21.2006, 06:17 PM

ok, so since i completely quit on motocross (since my son lost his mommy) i decided its just too dangerous to continue......

so i slowly started this RC shtuff, didn't think i could really get into it that much,

BUT now, thanks to all of you here at RC-MONSTER, i am so totally hooked......

so hooked that its kinda pissing off my room-mate, cause my little hobby cart, has turned into the entire kitchen table, and some of the counter top also :005:

thanks for the help everyone, and of course, i will be asking more questions soon, when i can afford the BL. :018:

If I took over the kitchen table, the wife would kill me. Instead, I've taken over about 1/3 of our basement for a general workshop that has slowly evolved into an R/C workshop. Whenever the wife asks how I can spend so much time and cash on my "toys", I tell her it's better than me going out with the guys getting into who knows what kind of trouble. :)

BTW: Sorry to hear about your son's mommy...

Welcome to the addiction. I have to move stuff in my bedroom to sleep:005: :007:

Work because i gotta, play because i wanna

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

Sorry to hear about Juniors mom.

And good to hear on your decision on motocross vs RC. Play it on the safe side.
Keep it up, nice to have you here.

first off, thanks to everyone who said sorry to hear.....

my son, Ethan, is doing great, luckily i had full custody so he was already used to being with me all the time, but he was in the car with mommy and her new fiance' during the accident in January..... its an absolute miracle, he was the only person out of four passengers who survived the accident, with only 2 very small scratches on his body.......... and go figure, he breaks his arm jumping off the couch 3 weeks ago, WTF?

SQUEE, i do know what you mean.... 1 of the local tracks hear has an 75' table top finish line that i cleared regularly during racing or practice, had one mistake on it (landed nose heavy), that the paramedics were afraid i broke my back on, but i refused to be taken away from the race on a stretcher, so i pushed them away had a friend help me up, and staggered off the track, then collapsed out of spectators view, the other local track has a 70' double at their finishline, which i also cleared regularly, see pics below.....

this one is from the week after my race accident, this is the 75' table top that i wrecked on, after successfully doing it many many times before....... unfortunately it was too chilly in NOVEMBER for the HOOTERS girls to get more undressed......

i dont know about more interesting, maybe just as interesting, or equally interesting.... racing is in me, its part of my life, i used to race street bikes too (closed circuit tracks, not illegal street racing), was working on getting my pro/am racing liscence in 2000, before i got married, then that all went down the drains....lol seeing a RC jump is great, but there isn't anything like doing it yourself, like SQEE said.... so long as you can land that big jump safely...:007:

here, there is only 1 local hobby/aftermarket store, so i am forced to do all my rc buying from the internet, so that why i am on here ALL THE TIME.....:027:
