NiMH Discharge help needed.

I was wondering how low should you discharge a NiMH Pack,what I'm looking to find out is the value Per cell,I'm not sure but I'm thinking 1.2Volt's per-cell before the charger start's to charge them back up.

Industry standard is .9v per cell. This will give you the best balance between voltage and runtime during the discharge curve while running it. If you ran stock class back in the brushed days you would dead short it to gain voltage output on the discharge curve. Nowadays the brushless motors are fast enough to negate the small gains by doing this. Just pick up a novak smart tray if you have side by side packs. Best and only way to ensure each cell is at the exact same voltage. If your running stick packs you will have to use your charger but beware that all cells are different and the voltage it will give you will be a pack voltage not cell voltage. No way to equalize the cells on your charger during discharging. Equalization is the most important thing with ni based cells cause you want all cells to be at the same voltage when charging begins so they will all have the same charge when it's done. The best charger I know of charged each cell individually. Think it was a much more but can't remember. Good luck, feel free to as questions there are alot of knowledgable people on this forum, and I raced for about 14 years with ni based cells.

I know that some of the cells can be different when charged as the cells are all being charged at the sametime and the charger is reading the over all voltage of the Pack.I think I will set my 5 cell pack for my Baja at 1 or 1.1 volt's Per-cell to avoid over discharging one or two cells in the pack and wrecking it.
