Im sure some of the more OCD members here might appreciate this, and you might bow down to this guy, but he is just totally nucking futs. In the end its still a 93 honda no matter how much of your life and money you waste on it. Just thought I would share. The thread is 14 pages long, i scanned the first page and just couldnt take it anymore so I had to stop. Enjoy!

From a fellow honda owner, that is farking kick ass. If you have to ask why, then you don't deserve to know why. Typical honda haters..

As I said, even if I explained why, you still wouldn't understand anyway. You either get or you don't with rebuilding/modding Honda's.

i think the guy has more money than brains, I have never heard of anyone restoring a pop can car that is not even rare or worth money. But i guess we can all say the same thing about ourselves since we spend thousands on cars we cant ride in.

My best friend is a severe OCD, enough to where I have to leave his house sometimes so i can refrain from making fun of him. My friend does not even hold a candle to this guy! When you are picking near-microscopic pieces of gravel out of places that will never again be seen by a human eye you should probably just stop and go see a shrink.

I dont know why, but this kind of stuff is just really funny to me!

Yeah, thats pretty over the top, for an oem built, Go on rs25.com in the forum section, member journals and just look for "race builds" People will strip these 2.5 rs's and imprezas down to the bare chassis and build a turbo'd awd race car out of em, pretty cool.

I remember back in the day we actually drove our hotrods fast. I've been passing way to many corvettes, mustangs, and misc' "fast cars" in my suburban lately... I think it's a sign our society is going down hill when people don't feel free to enjoy their expensive rides like we used to... And worst of all it leads to stuff like restoring a disposable Honda.

P.s. I'm not a hater either, I have 2 civic's, a 1994 that looks like crap and a 2004 that's nice and clean. I also have 2 suburbans, a 1971 project truck, and a 2003 that's nice and clean :-)

We need to convert our interstate highways into autobahns, only regulate speed inside city areas :-)

If I could only draw what I see in my head, then afford to build it, and finaly get to play with it...

I'm not a big Honda fan because I dont really care for tiny cars but I def appreciate the "Honda Thing" it's just not my cup of tea. Now, what the guy did, all that work and $ is just amazing. So what if the car still has a low resale value even after all that work and new parts, it's his car he can do what ever he wants w/it regardless how little sense it makes to others. I give him props and a hardy Attaboy for all that detail and patience. It's nice to have the room, funds and know how to do such work. If I had a 2-3car garge at home the wife would hardly see me at all because I'd be doing the same thing to a old Jeep.

Seriously freeze, get over yourself. Being OCD and a Honda lover doesn't put you in some special minority group with automatic protection from getting butt hurt and having your panties in a wad. You are taking things way too personally.

Josh has done nothing wrong, it's a funny post about peoples weird obsessions, nothing more. So put on your big girl panties and get over it.

Back to the original subject, I think it's pretty funny and a complete waste of money. However, to each their own and it sure as hell doesn't hurt me in any way.

Of course I also realize Josh in no way is trying to stop what this guy is doing, he is just pointing out the folly in it all.

I don't see the big deal at all, people spend money/restore stuff all the time that in the end is worth nowhere near what you have in it. These cars do however bring damn good money when done as cleanly as this one it. It is far from a "stock" build. Just look at the motor pics, may be oem honda stuff, but not from that car. I find it more humorous that this post poking fun at someone spending tons of cash and time on a 1:1 car comes up on a forum where people drop thousands of dollars on r/c cars.
