So far as I know Castle only sell the 2028 motor in 780kv flavour..

When we first released the info on the 2028, there was some confusion between marketing and engineering about the final kv of the motor. It was originally published as a 750kv but the final production versions were closer to 780kv.

There is no switch, they just borrowed the start up guide literature from an esc that does.

The second wire is the fan.

It's better to ask questions than break stuff

thnx prob gonne route it to the reciver,

dont understand why castle have included such crappy screws the small one holding the tranny plate to the side uprights, have stripped 2-3 of them and cant get them unscrewed... the same with pinion screw it really sucks..

Never had any problem with screws before.

it sems like its between 1,5mm and 2mm

just finished, pretty satisfied. though i have some minor things left like solder connectors, mount receiver, paint, get an 8s ore two 4s battery, also thinking about cutting a hole in gear cover for the pinion as its slightly rubbing and maybe glue a plastic cup over so its sealed, may also shorten the gear cover screws and just bolt it right to plate and instead use tape to mount the cover.

still not sure how to remove those small stripped screws holding the tranny plate and esc, i may just cut the head off and remove the plate then remove the rest off the screw with a plier.

also i had a hard time align the motor plate with the small chassie brace, as you can see in the picture its slightly warped.. everything aligned except that thing.

still wondering about the 5sc\t gearing, it have bigger wheels(more speed with same gearing and rotation mass), body and so on.. and if i want to try it out with 6s will it still have enough power ore will i ruined the esc\motor? according to my bathroom weight its 14kg with 6s battery

i have done a test run on 6s, not sure if im getting high ripple 2,08 at 23,5v almost 9%. Is this ok ore should i replace my 5,5mm bullets to 8mm! castles ones?

higest recorded current was 220 amp and 5000watt (not hard on the throttle at all)

the motor was 47c (117f), i hope that 8s wont affect it to much. as it was only on tarmac.

also i have a problem saving the log file, getting this error message:

"Error while writing data to file

Database error: translate language unknow (141), its english sting is not found."

8mm bullets for 1/5 scale would be preferable, especially if you are pulling 220amp peaks. It could be that current draw & ripple comes down once you up the voltage, though it depends on how aggressive the gearing is currently & if you change it or not- not really so clued up on 1/5 scale issues myself..

Just have a question, i have the rev 2 and im noticing especially with 8s thats it a bit notchy(not sure about the word).Like when i give it some throttle it hesitate for an split second for so to jump forward.
This isn't something that happens every time i give it throttle but frequently

using 2 4s 5000 45c nanotech, the max ripple is 6% and futaba 3pm radio

i have runned it 3 times, one time with 6s(9% ripple) and 2 times with 8s

Hope for an answer

thanks
Fredrik

edit, im on stock firmware
