5B or 5SC? - 07.21.2011, 04:17 PM

I have a CC Baja conversion kit sitting untouched and need to decide which vehicle I want to buy to put it in. Any thoughts, suggestions? I'm leaning towards the 5SC, but any experienced feedback would be appreciated.

If it were me, I would buy the one that doesnt cost 200 bucks to buy a new body for.

Built Ford tough, with Chevy stuff.

pretty much the same, the 5sc have upgraded axles\cups and rear hubs.. and off course alot of extra plastic parts for the bumper and side covers.

I had a knockoff 5b, and my buddy has a hpi 5sc. The 5sc looks monsterous in person. The body just makes the thing look huge compared to the 5b. The body makes it a bit more tipsy, but when you see it sitting there you just think "damn, thats a big truck". So if you are looking for wow factor go with it. I see cen has a 5th scale sc truck now. I don't know if its body is the same dimensions as the 5sc, but the bodies are a whole lot cheaper than the $200 hpi one.

Ordered a 5SC SS last night before my Tower Gold codes expired. Also put a 5B SS on backorder too, but may cancel that order.
