Outrunners typically work better with higher timing. Try "normal" first. Also, depending on the vehicle/battery, start power can be raised also.

Because the CC controllers advance timing based on motor inductance, we usually recommend "low" timing for outrunners. So a little different than most sensorless controllers...

Thanx!

Yes, but he said a MM Esc.

Which MM is it though? I know the older versions of the MM didn't do so well with outrunners.

If it is an older MM, update the firmware and you will see a world of difference.

I ran an outrunner for a while in a 4x4 slash with a mmpro and got it to work best with 0-5 degrees of timing and med-high start power. Was using tp 3s 3200 40c packs. Really flew and ran super cool but the brakes weren't as strong as I like when using the outrunner motor. Would ease into raising the start power though and keep an eye on temps and use some nice packs. Tried the same motor on 2s and it did not work well.
