23mm hexes and rims

Are the 23mm hexes and rims soon to be a thing of the past?
I mean seems everything is going smaller for some reason.
If that is the case are the 23 mm hexes worth much these days.
I got rims and hexes as well.
2 sets of dace adapters
1 set of proline
Should I sell all my 23mm stuff now?

It seems they are fewer 23mm products available these days... I think think market shifted more to the 17mm equipped vehicles (1/8 trucks and buggies) which are a little more prominent...

Yeah, I been noticing that since getting back into it.
I may just sell the stuff off and go from there.
No need to keep them if not using any way.
Maybe if get enough can get me some bulks for truck.

The dace adapters should get you a few bucks. The only New 23mm stuff I've seen is from CEN and Integy has a few items too. You can still find some old stock here and there too, but its getting harder. Wish some of the 23mm wheels were switched to 17mm instead of totally disappearing.

I think it would be cool if they were all the 17m splined like what traxxas uses

I have the same issue. One of my trucks has UE 6mm CVD's with 14mm Hex' and I'm using Dace 23mm adapters to be able to use my Pro-Line 40 series bead-loc wheels. I *LOVE* this set up but it is limited what tires are around now, although Pro-line still has a few.

I think 17mm works fine and is strong enough, but I do like the extra strength and the look 'n feel of 23mm.

I love the 23mm wheels because I have striped a few 17mm wheels on my Summit. I also got a few sets from eBay at that same price. couldn't pass them up. There are still some good tire choices out there. The other thing about running 23mm hexes is that with a little foil tape I can run any wheel made for a Baja great for the 1/5 scale conversions.

I have a full set with proline bowties on them. Worn to nubs.

It think its mainly because people are going to a narrower tire with zero offset for the increased steering it gives. I know that switching out from the LPR 3.7" panther switch 2's to the VTR Proline holeshot setup I gained a massive amount of steering and response.

I haven't tried my 40 series rims on the truggy, only on my old LSP-R. So wide they still might do great for street running though. lots of traction.
