e-8ight t 1.0-mmm 2200kv - 10.05.2012, 09:14 PM

Hey guys, recently bought a losi 8ight t 1.0 roller that was converted for electric.

Have a MMM 2200kv combo sitting around and some 4s lipos. Truck has a 48t spur, any ideas on the size of pinion I should run? I have no particular top speed I am chasing, just bashing. All I have on me is a 17t, just wondering if I should pick up another size?

thanks

I plugged in your info here and used 4.5" buggy tires as a guide. this is a great tool for speed estimations...an even better tool to determine motor RPM which is key to motor longevity, long run-time and performance.

Based on your #'s top speed is 42 or so w/a 17t pinion and motor speed of 29k. W/a 19t pinion=46mph
