Take something and try to remove the grease out of the bearing. As it heats up the grease comes out and over the pads. Greasy pads don't work well.

The system will thank you for it that is for sure. I didn't know about it on mine. It cost me a set of pads and the steel slipper plates. had a serious melt down.

no oil on the pads on the 2250. Had the oil problem with 1950. the 2250 just killed it straight out. Now it is killing the savage slipper. It is a big motor with big attitude. It shows no pitty.

You run it on 6S lipo, am i correct?
did you ever tried running it on 20-24 cells on your savage?

I am selling all my cells. I was thinking of going 8s lipo. I haven't decided on that yet. I got the slipper stuff today. I may try that and see.

yes running 9xl on my revo...don't have a savage...and most cells i've ever run in any car is 12 lol so the 6s will be a huge jump for me

oh yeah 6s would be a huge jump. It is a big difference from nimh to lipo

It really is amazing what a difference it can be - even though i still run nimh, more power, less weight, what could be better?
The problem with nitro's these days are that they arent brushless... LOL
