Do not go near the 380c 7T if you know that there are different Mamba Max setups ( esc+motor) ranging from 4000+ upto 7700rpm motors which come together with the controllers.

Go for the Mamba Max 7700 package for less than $250.
Contact Mike if you need it. He certainly would bring it to you.
At 7.2 volts your TC4 will scream like crazy and do some catapulting speedruns, easily over 50mph.

The fastest mamba is the 5700 on 3s according to beat my truck testing. It ran 60 mph.

Peace!

Yeah, but I chose the 7700 for Speedy in case he is using 6 cells or 2s lipos, only.
The 7700 would easily top 50mph with some nice 6 cells or 2s in a light weight touring car like the TC4.
If you want to go higher in cell counts, speedy, go for the 5400.
Its the fastest between the three. As Leroy said.

Actually the 4600 on 4s Lipo is the fastest :005: (but you do have to disable the BEC). That's the setup I have in my Rustler right now, and it really is too much. I got some new smaller street tires (Proline Road Rages, I think), and they balloon a lot. With these tires the truck is wheelie-ing like no other, I can just imagine how bad it would be with HPI Geolander tires (what I normally run). If I could just get better range, I'd gear higher and go for 65mph...

Which motor to get depends on the battery choice.

I spoke to CCs if I can use 4s lipos with the controller and they replied in a rather clumsy way saying " its out of warranty so you're on your own"?!?!!

Well, how do you like the thing, MetalMan?
Can you give us a review?

Since CC doesn't rate it for 4s Lipo, they can't warranty the use of it. For any built-in linear BEC, 4s Lipo is too much, so a separate receiver/servo power source is needed.

I like it a lot, i just wish I had a wheelie bar or at least a skidplate. The front wheels won't stay on the ground, and I'm grinding the aluminum motor plate on the FLM tranny case. I have no negative comments against this system, and I'm quite impressed by it.

I don't think the 12s makes for a good comparison right now. The rear endbell is beaten up, and at one point the front bearing seized and I replaced it with a 5x11x4 (needs 5x11x5) bearing and a 1mm washer. It sounds different now, so I'm sure it isn't running like it used to.

The 4600 is geared with an 18/87, where the 12s would be geared 22/87. At this voltage the 4600 is spinning at about 63,000RPM, which is a ways off from the point of highest efficiency. The 12s would be spinning at about 42,000RPM, much closer to being most efficient. That said, I've recorded the temp. on the 4600 up to 200 deg. before I stopped, and it has ranged anywhere from 150-180 for other runs. This is all on the street using Proline Road Rages, and with these tires I am able to get wheelies (before using them I didn't know street tires could hook up so well).

I may have to try a 16t pinion and see if that will keep the temps lower no matter how hard I drive it.

I'm running a 5700 on 6 cells and think you don't need much more. I'm hitting about 40, uncontrollable in dirt and wheelies everywhere

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

Has anyone recorded the temps of the 5700 on 3s? If the 5700 does 60 mph on 3s, then the 4600 geared the same should easily do 50. It will also run much cooler than the 7700 on 2s.
