warrior controller stickers 7018 vs 9918 - 02.16.2005, 12:41 PM

My recent batch of 9918 controllers were labeled with 7018 stickers from the factory. The factory also put a small label that signifies that it is actually a 9918 controller and blacked out the 70 portion of the original label. This was recently brought to my attention by some "concerned" customers (understandable). To address this concern, I thought it best to post a simple identifier to those who received these controllers and want to be sure they got what they paid for.

If you ordered a 9918 controller recently and received it, the sure way to tell the 9918 controller from the smaller 7018 controller is by counting the black capacitors located on the battery lead end of the controller. The 7018 controllers have 2 "caps", while the 9918 controllers have 4 "caps".

If you paid for the 9918, that is what was shipped and hopefully this simple identifier will clear up any potential concerns. I apologize for this confusion and will speak with BK to hopefully avoid this confusion in the future. If any further clarification is needed, please e-mail me and we will ensure that all RC-Monster customers get the expected high level of quality and caring service that the company is built on. Thanks in advance for your understanding and support.

Mike

Thanks pal. At first when I received the 9918 I thought that the place where I bought it from(FDM) added an extra pair of capacitors to increase the amp rate, but now I'm 100% sure that BK Electronics are the ones who did it. I dont really mean anything bad, the thing is really powerful and all, but the way they've installed the caps doesn't really live up to the name of BK electronics, one of the biggest brushless S/C manufacturer in the industry. It is just a bit disappointing the way it looks, even the shrink wrap is ripped near the red jumper and I'm sure they could've done it in a much better way. Thanks again for your notice Monster Mike.;)
