It's buggytime > MBX5 goes BL - 11.05.2006, 12:45 PM

The last days i finished my 1:8 buggy conversion.
I got a cheap Mugen MBX5 Prospec roller and that was the start of the project.

The setup i use:

-Feigao 7L
-Mtroniks 125A (a nice piece of esc i love it, 0 cogging....)
-Flightpower Trakpowers 4S 4900mah (50C peak) i can only say these cells rock! Even then the motor and esc after a long hard run are warmed these babys are still cool as ice (ok 2800Watt peak i will never need in the buugy;))
-Geared: 13-14/46

-Weight: 3380g complete RTR

The motor mount is out of 10mm thick 7075 T6 alu.

Driving this buggy is a pleasure, it acelerates like crazy...

I'm still waiting for my eagletree then i can show you more datas.

Here some pics:

Nice. I have the same car I converted with a Plentenburg and Quark 125B. I made a simple motor bracket out of Aluminum angle stock that seems to work well. With that battery pack you should get good run times.

thx;)

Ya the CF wasn't really a hit but i spook with the owner of "carbon team" about my issues and they told me for 90° 1-1,5mm CF is the right choice.

Mine was 2mm....
